Electro Graphics has released the new 2018 Series of electrical and photovoltaic design software. Here we present the most novelties and enhancements introduced for bill of material management (software Tabula) and cabling (software Cablo).

The Unicode UTF-8 standard is a text encoding system that includes almost all of the currently used writing systems, enabling you to uniquely represent the characters used in all the world's written languages. Its greatest utility lies in the fact that it can also represent special characters from non-Western languages such as Chinese and Arabic.
Tabula 2018 is also fully compatible with the Unicode standard of character encoding in order to be able to freely use non-Western characters in compiling archive data and project execution.
Unicode texts can be used in texts, descriptions, Tabula file print documents, archives, and configuration files.
You can then manage translation of prints in languages like Russian, Arabic, Chinese, etc. in the proper characters of these languages.
The Cables dialog allows you to edit the data of a cable when running the New Cable, Change Cable, Duplicate Cable command. The source and destination information of the cable, ie data entered in the Function, Location, and Signature fields, can be blocked by the constraint button so that they are not overwritten by automatic cabling updates such as the change in the data function.
Additionally, the data for Cable is now also available: In the wiring documents, the data of the two ends of the single connection is now reported..
In the Cablo document printing window, the Set columns button allows you to set the columns to be returned to the selected document. Referring to the Cables list document, the Grouping option is now available: it allows to select the label to perform the cable grouping. The printout will contain the descriptions of the pooling field followed by the list of the content cables.
In the Cables archive you now have the option to handle the cable-connector cables. Generally, such cables are provided with a pre-wired connector connected to one of the heads. They are used to connect specific sensors and solenoid valves.
