Software for electrical and photovoltaic engineering

New features 2024 - EG Cloud

Electro Graphics releases the latest 2024 Series of electrical and photovoltaic design software. Here we present EG Cloud, a cloud saving and sharing service accessible from all 2024 Series software.

EG Cloud: cloud saving and sharing service

EG Cloud is a cloud-based data backup and sharing service, powered by Acronis®, a global leader in cybersecurity. Acronis® protects organizations' data, applications, systems, and productivity from cyberattacks, hardware failures, natural disasters, and human errors.
EG Cloud is available to Electro Graphics software users under warranty and/or maintenance contract.
Through EG Cloud, you can:

• Upload your projects to the cloud, organized in folders and subfolders.

• Download and open projects previously uploaded to the cloud.

• Browse your cloud space using the EG Cloud browser, which provides essential commands for creating new folders, uploading and downloading files, creating sharing links, and more.

• Access your cloud space through the Acronis web portal to view content and manage your account settings.

• Access your cloud space from mobile devices using the Acronis Cyber Files app, which also allows you to add annotations to PDF prints for import into electrical schematic drawings.

Activation of the EG Cloud service

Every Electro Graphics customer with a software warranty or maintenance contract is entitled to:

• One EG Cloud account. The account is unique to each customer, and all operators who need to access the cloud space must be provided with the necessary credentials (login and password).

• A cloud space of the size specified in the contract terms.

Customers with a valid service or warranty contract can activate the EG Cloud service from their customer area on the Electro Graphics website.

The login and password provided during activation allow you to use the EG Cloud features in Electro Graphics software, access EG Cloud through the Acronis web portal, and access your cloud space from mobile devices using the Acronis Cyber Files app or the Acronis web portal.

Accessing EG Cloud through the Acronis portal

To access the EG Cloud service through the Acronis web portal, you must log in to the Acronis website and enter the login credentials you obtained when you activated the service.

Once logged in, you can view your projects and files that have been uploaded to EG Cloud. You can also create new folders, upload and download files, create sharing links, etc.

The services accessible from your account are organized into two main areas:

File Sync&Share: this area allows you to access the cloud space and the content it contains through advanced file management features, link and sharing creation, access to the history of uploaded files with the ability to recover file revisions, etc. In the File Sync&Share Admin Console page, you can also define the deletion and revision history cleanup methods, among other settings.

Management portal: in this area, you can view the EG Cloud account characteristics in read-only mode. In particular, in the Monitoring > Usage section, you can view the status of cloud storage usage.

Accessing EG Cloud through the Acronis Cyber Files mobile app

Acronis Cyber Files is a mobile app provided by Acronis, available for Android and iOS, that gives you access to the EG Cloud storage space and the content it contains.

To set up Acronis Cyber Files to access your EG Cloud account, you need to:

1. Download Acronis Cyber Files from the app store.

2. Open the app and add a new server. The server address is the same as the Acronis server URL in the EG Cloud browser options window.

3. Enter your EG Cloud login and password.

Once you're set up, you can access your EG Cloud files on your mobile device.

EG Cloud is a great way to protect your work and keep your files accessible from anywhere.
